In this guide, we will show you the best methods for hanging your pictures using standard picture hooks.
First, we must decide where the picture is going to be displayed. An easy way to do this is to cut a peice of card to the same size as the frame (fig.1), you can then blue tac / tape this to the wall to see where the best place is.
You can also take a measurement from the top of the frame to the picture cord (when under tension, see fig. 2 & 3) to see where the hook needs to go, mark this on the card and then using a bradall/somthing with a point, you can mark the wall.
Once you have a mark on the wall we can now attach the picture hook. You can do this with the pins provided, however these won’t work on solid brick walls, instead you will need to drill and plug the wall.
Once the holes have been made you can simply screw through the ‘heart shaped’ hole in the picture hook.
Bigger picture frames may need more than one hook. A good guide is to have two hooks 1/3 of the way in from either side.
Note : don’t forget, if you are using more than 1 picture hook to use a spirit level so it doesn’t hang wonky .
