After a career of over 40 years in finance, Judy Randle returned to her first love of art and painting.
Whilst training at the WEA, she explored acrylic painting and was immediately hooked.
Through the dark days of lockdown, Judy channelled her energies into creating pieces that inspired joy – focussing on places and landscapes that evoke happy memories from sunnier times. Inspirations are the woods and moors near her home in Sheffield, the dramatic Yorkshire and Scottish coasts, and her love of walking and wild places.
She invites the viewer to wander along the paths and discover the patterns of nature.
Recently, she began experimenting with pen and watercolour, to produce colourful, rhythmic pieces in her playful ‘Abstract Riffs’ series.
